The other week I had a lovely email from Harriet at Notonthehighstreet.com offering me the chance to spend £50 on the lovely stuff they have on their site. They have a huge range of goodies from bits for the home, gorgeous personalised pictures, jewellery, the list goes on and on! I’ve often browsed the site looking at all the gorgeous and unique things they have for sale. So I finally picked out a few things and then with the other £25 left I asked for a voucher to giveaway to my lovely readers and share some of the good karma – more on that next week so stay tuned.
So one of the things I picked was a lovely basket of cake balls as a treat for Mother’s Day. In case you havent heard of them, cake balls are balls of yummy moist cake mixed with buttercream and dipped in chocolate, yes chocolate covered cake, what more could a girl ask for? They arrived two days after ordering, really well packaged and in a really lovely basket, it all looked much bigger then I thought. Chloe was super excited to try them, they were the perfect size for her to pick up and bite into. And they tasted lovely, not too sweet or crumbly and delicately flavoured.
Chloe wanted another but I did the old distraction technique and hid them from sight for another day. Once they were finished – it did take a few days with Daddy’s and Chloe’s combined help of course, Chloe then re-purposed the cute basket as a new toy!
The basket of Cake Balls are £14.99 (with free delivery) for 12 large balls, you can add a personalised message and a date on which you want them to arrive. Would I buy them? Yes definitely, I think they’d be a lovely treat for someone, all year round – especially sent as a last-minute birthday gift! There’s also some other fab foodie treats on the site like a Cake Card and Gruffalo Cake Pops – perfect for a themed party.
Many thanks to the lovely people at Notonthehighstreet.com for giving us the opportunity to try something new and look out next week to see what else we got and the chance to win a £25 voucher so you can treat yourself!
We were kindly sent these free of charge, however no one has told me what to write, all words (including spelling mistakes) and opinions are 100% my own and genuine.
